noise  (noiz) n.
1. Sound or a sound that is loud, unpleasant, unexpected, or undesired.

Hailing from the cesspool that is Indiana, Jack Pink is an artist currently working in the noise and sound collage arena. Since 1998 Jack has experimented with the dark ambience, industrial, noise, experimental, free jazz, and musique concrete genres.

Jack Pink has previously worked with Trudge, of EBM band NYX, during their childhoods. Manic Blister was a project formed via Internet Relay Chat with fellow plunderer Spit+Smudge who now releases his circuit bent electronics as Moribund. A freeform/improv spoken word project called Original Motion Picture Soundtrack dissolved after the members relocated independently (Atari Jones & Andromeda).

Since then, Jack Pink has worked as a solo artist. Inferno was drafted as a death ambient soundtrack to Dante Allighieri’s poem of the same name. The rhythmic noise soundscapes on Pain Machines are aural representations of torture devices. Gross is inspired by the tape cutups of Negativland and Thobbing Gristle. Versus The World is an album of plunder remixes of popular and not very popular songs. The eponymously titled album, Jack Pink, contains further experimental excursions into house, noise, and lo-fi. Currently, as DJ Jack Pink, he spins dark, mutated dubstep mixes in studio and live. In 2009, Jack released an EP of zombie influenced, bassy 8bit dubs called Step 4 Dead. The project contains numerous excerpts from John Romero’s “Of The Dead” series, Valve’s “Left 4 Dead” video game, and “28 Days Later”. Jack subsequently created the drum-machine based full length dubstep/noise album Scary Dolls.
